WaterGrass integrates with the web to make your work easier. Click on our demo website at left to see how WaterGrass web forms gather data. They enter it straight into the database, and you can set up rules to determine how it's handled from there. For instance, all potential volunteers interested in monitoring could be routed to the Water Quality staff. |
By integrating with the web, WaterGrass:
- streamlines data entry, since people enter their data themselves;
- stores it in the correct place, so you can track it;
- can automate your response to the data or request, so that you follow the same procedure each time.
For instance, it can receive a request for more information from an interested individual, respond with an automatic email verifying the information, create a task for a staff person to mail a welcome letter, and enter the name and address in a list for the next appeal letter. Or it can generate an email list of likely volunteers, track which ones opened an invitation email and clicked through to the web page, register the ones who signed up on the web page, send automatic reminders on the day before the volunteer event, and follow up to find out if their experience was satisfying. You'll be able to absorb more information and manage more people, but more important, you'll be able to choose a sytem or procedure and then adhere to it, to improve the quality of the work that you do.
